Hawley Vineyards and Winery are located on Bradford Mountain, overlooking the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County. John Hawley started the winery after 25 years of winemaking at some of Californias most influencial wineries. Today he and his two sons, Paul and Austin Hawley, produce unique wines from select sonoma county vineyards. Hawley Vineyards was certified organic in 2006 after three years of growing organically.

At Hawley Winery we combine modern practices with traditional winemaking. Our philosophy is simple: Do whatever it takes to make the best wine from the best hillside vineyards.

News from the Cellar

It is every growers nightmare to have the frost alarm go off at 4am right when the vines are all beginning to send out fresh new shoots. Hillside vineyards are generally less vulnerable to frost because the cold air tends to sink to the valley, but we also don't generally have any frost protection, such as sprinklers or fans. Our vineyards only got a little toasted, and we consider ourselves lucky after talking with growers who lost up to 90% of their crop. The weather is unpredictable and something that farmers cannot control. We all hope that is the last frost until winter. April- 26.
