Menagerie began as a passion project between two longtime friends and Sonoma County natives, Paul Hawley (winemaker) and Anthony DeMaria (mixologist). Paul grew up in working in his family’s winery and Anthony has been working with spirits makers and distributors for the last ten years.

We explored complex infusions, bitters, fortified wines and subtle aromatized wines, driven by curiosity and the desire to find the perfect blend. We released our first batch in 2016 and followed it by expanding the line to four distinct styles.

Our Vermouth aperitif wines can be used as a component in classic cocktails, blended with sparkling wine for a spritz, or alone over ice. Our canned wine spritz will be coming in 2026.


VERMOUTH

We began meticulously adding hand-selected botanicals—from rare citrus peel to wild, local herbs—to our varietal wines. This allowed us to achieve layered complexity, introducing enhanced aromas, a welcome textural change, and a crucial, balanced bitterness that typical vermouth wine lacks.

SPRITZ

Menagerie Spritz are aperitif wines lightly carbonated and canned. We begin with Sonoma County grown, varietal wines and infuse them with botanicals and fruit juice to craft a refreshing spritz.
